Man, these two were some of my favourite Junji Ito stories, but the manga was much better.
In this anime they left out the fact that, in the first story, that biology teacher was researching some new kind of mold. That's also how he destroyed his old house, the brother found out. And it's too bad, cause they actually got the color tones and the music right.
And in the second story, the girl was a lot more emotional and proactive, she hugged and argued with the MC, trying to snap him out of it. But the MC grew completely mental and possesed. He was like, tormented by his father when he was a kid, that's why he turned out like that.
They made her emotionless in this anime, just for the sake of squeezing these two awesome stories, in one episode. A poor decision, both stories should've been longer.
The voice actor got the performance right though. That screaming, right on the spot.
I think many people like me where able to guess the details you gave us about 1st story
I wonder why would he keep staying at his moldy house? I'd leave right away
I'd say he was to proud to leave.
well at least he was in a psych ward :)
wow :o Love the art direction of the first ep :D But... The dude keeps staying in there TT____TT
Stop it EREN YEAGER T_T
I'd burn that house down if it was infested with that much mold.

This is some nerdy nerd shit
In terms of execution, story telling, lore and animation I prefer Yamishibai but in terms of unsettling art Junji Ito tops. I would love to see Junji Ito stories getting executed by Yamishibai staff.
both this stories remind me of my father, he both had so much junk that mold was building behind it, and could tell you a 30minute story about every item he collected.
